The shooting of Dipu Karunakaran’s Karinkunnam Sixes, with Manju Warrier and Anoop Menon in the lead, has started in Thiruvananthapuram.
This film is set in the backdrop of the central jail and Manju plays volleyball coach Vandhana, who trains a group of prisoners. Arunlal Ramachandran is the scenarist. Dipu Karunakaran has earlier directed films like Crazy Gopalan, Tejabhai & Family and Fireman. The film was shot at Poojapura central jail in Thiruvananthapuram for almost 20 days.
