Apothecary is a Pshyco-Thriller movie directed by Madhav Ramadas. The movie features Suresh Gopi, Jayasurya, Asif Ali and yesteryear actress Abhirami in the lead role. Story:
Apothecary is about dream, greed, remorse and redemption.Dr Vijay Nambiar (Suresh Gopi) is a famous neurosurgeon. His wife Dr Nalini Nambiar (Abhirami) is a gynecologist in the same hospital. They lead a contented and busy family life. 'Appothikkiri' plots the intriguing issues that affect their life.Once the life of Dr Vijay Nambiar is intermingled with a catastrophe, and the experiences he goes through changes his perspective towards life and outlook forms the story of Apothecary.Jayasurya and Asif Ali does the roles of Subi Joseph & Prathapan,the patients in the hospital.Meera Nandan are also seen in important role as Daisy.Ths story goes through the past and present of aptient relations with the doctor.Arun, Indrans, Raghavan, Neeraj Madhav, Thambi Antony, Jayan, Leshoy, Mohanakrishnan, Jayaraj Varier, and Seema G Nair are also part of the cast.We are not revealing the whole story.If you are ready to watch a story oriented movie,then go and watch it.
Performance:
Apothecary is a great come back movie of Suresh Gopi.The role of Dr.Vijay Nambiar is a brilliant portrayal for superstar.Apothecary is the best performance of Jayasurya.He was stolen our heart by his performance.I think Apothecary is Asif Ali's best performance in recent times.Indrans was surprised his role as the father of Jayasurya.Apothecary is a classy type and is devoid of the regular commercial masala flavours and so naturally there is lagness at times as the film moves at a snail pace.The BGM and Cinematograpgy is appreciated.The movie manages to travel smoothly if only occasionally nudging the thin line that separates it from being blunt and preachy all at once.The plot is tightly knitted and rhythm of the movie is good. Music flows well with every passing scene. The film is a beautifully narrated masterpiece.
