National award-winning actress Priyanka Chopra's father, Dr Ashok Chopra, died today (June 10) at a hospital in suburban Andheri here after a prolonged battle with cancer.Priyanka's father was suffering with Cancer in 2005, during the shooting of Rohan Sippy's 'Bluffmaster' Priyanka's father fell ill his condition went worse last week.According to industry sources doctors declared him dead at 1230 HRS.
Priyanka tried all means to save her father's life she shuffled between her professional commitments and her father she didn,t inform people until her father was admitted to the hospital. Priyanka has been spending all her time praying for her father's recovery. On Friday, Priyanka had organised a Mahamrityunjay puja at her home, for her daddy's recovery.
Dr Chopra, a physician in the Indian Army, was seriously ill for a longtime. He had accompanied Priyanka to Vancouver for the TOIFA Awards earlier this year.For over a fortnight, the actress had been by her father's side due his illness, keeping aside all her filmi assignments.Priyanka was extremely attached to her father and had even got hersefl a tattoo with the words Daddy's Lil Girl.
