Mumbai Police - Movie Review


Mumbai Police is a 2013 Indian Malayalam suspense thriller film written by Bobby-Sanjay and directed by  Rosshan Andrrews, who has earlier directed award winning films like Notebook, Udayananu Tharam, Evidam Swargamanu and few more, has now teamed up with talented young actors like Prithviraj, Rahman and Jayasurya for his latest directorial venture Mumbai Police. When compared to his previous movies, one can not deny the fact that he has taken this film with one step ahead. The power packed story coupled with brilliant performances by lead actors will definitely impress the Malayalam viewers and the climax is an extra ordinary makes you sit on your seat.

Mumbai Police is a crime suspense thriller, which is engaging with enriched visuals and Prithviraj-Rahman-Jayasurya's electrifying performances are the main highlight in the movie. Rosshan's engaging screenplay and thought-provoking dialogues, Gopi Sunder's music and background score, G Diwakar's fantastic camera work are the other attractions of the movie. The director has implemented advanced technology in the film.

Rosshan Andrrews has chosen a unique story of friendship among three police officers, which has been written by Bobby Sanjay. Prithviraj plays Assistant Commisioner Antony Moses,Jayasurya plays the role of Aryan John Jacob and Rehman will see as City Police Commissioner Farhan.The movie is all about how these young police officers investigate a case, which causes a nightmare to the mafia and the underworld of Kochi city.These police officers are a cause of nightmare to the mafia and the underworld of Kochi city. The media calls these fearless and efficient officers Mumbai Police because even though they are in Kochi, they all have some sort of connection with Mumbai. MP is a investigative thriller that also focuses on the life of a Policemen, friendship etc.Film begins with Antony revealing the identity of the Killer to some one, but before he could reveal the name of the culprit he gets involved in an accident and suffers temporary memory loss.So Antony has to start everything from the scratch, but this time its not just the identity of the Killer, knowing himself forms an even bigger puzzle.Farhan is helping him to find the past.But Antony is trying to find the past himself. What is that past...??

It is not an ordinary police story and the director's arresting screenplay makes you sit on the edge of your seat and watch the film biting your nails.
