Mammootty’s heroine Navneet Kaur won as an MP from Amravati constituency

Navneet Kaur  as a heroine, popular for her role with Mammootty's Love In Singapore and apart heroine she was special dancer and supporting actress in a couple of Telugu and Tamil flicks including one each in Hindi & Kannada(Darshan). Highly popular for her alluring glamour and arresting screen-presence, Navneet left films in 2011 and married Ravi Rana, an independent MLA from the Badnera constituency in Amravati city.  

Contesting the Lok Sabha Election for the second time, the 34-year-old actress and Independent candidate trounced Shiv Sena leader and two-time sitting MP Anandrao Adsul by a little over 36,000 votes. Navneet  is also the only candidate from among the alliance partners of the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) who managed to emerge victorious in the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
