Mahesh Babu to produce Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan biopic

Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was instrumental during the terrorist attack as he was the team commander of 51 Special Action Group that was deployed during the operation to rescue hostages from the Taj Mahal Palace. He was martyred trying to save the hostages and was later awarded the Ashoka Chakra Award by the government in 2009.

Now Sony Pictures has joined hands with Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu’s production house GMB Entertainment (G Mahesh Babu Entertainment) to produce a film based on Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s life. Titled Major, the movie will star Adivi Sesh in the lead role and will be helmed by Goodachari director Sashi Kiran Tikka. The film will be shot in Telugu and Hindi.

Adivi Sesh captured everyone’s attention in Telugu cinema with his last spy thriller Goodachari. The film received immense response all over and managed to perform pretty well at the box office.
