What would it be like if the characters from Endhiran find themselves inside the plot of a typical Shankar movie? 2.0 is what you would get. Using his pet theme - a wronged individual taking revenge on the people who ruined his life (or in this case, the birds he cares for) - the director gives us a film that is part sci-fi, part horror, part vigilante movie and part special effects spectacle.

SIFY recommend that you see 2.O for writer-director Shankar’s visualization, Rajinikanth’s screen presence and an earnest Akshay Kumar. It is exhausting, but this roller-coaster ride should be experienced

Shankar and team delivered a Box-office winner in the form of ‘2.0’. First half is pretty average, second half is good AND last 30 minutes is VFX Extravaganza! Story wise there is not much to rave about and Shankar’s mark in effectiveness is gone missing. Emotional connect is limited, good in the Birdman (Akshay) ‘s flashback which is the crux of the film. Overall, you may watch it for its big-ticket action episodes.
