Karthi's next film Kashmora will kick start from February and the film's director Gokul has confirmed it. Gokul has earlier directed Jiiva's Rowthiram and Vijay Sethupathi's Idharkuthaane Aasiapattai Balakumara.
Gokul has also revealed that Kashmora is not a complete horror movie as projected by the media but a perfect mixture of many genres with supernatural elements being the predominant.
Kashmora will have Karthi and Nayanthara playing the lead roles while the rest of cast and crew will be announced soon. Sources say that along with Kashmora, Karthi will also be simultaneously working on the Tamil - Telugu bilingual directed by Vamsi Paidipally.
"The title is a term used in black magic. It's a multi-genre film that has supernatural elements, but not horror per se. There's action and comedy as well to make it appealing to the masses," he said. While Gokul doesn't wish to reveal more about the cast, rumour has it that Shruti Haasan has been approached for an important role in the film. Meanwhile, Karthi is busy completing shoot for Tamil movie "Komban".
