Mollywood has its share of 'regular' cops like Suresh Gopi, Prithviraj and Indrajith, and Sunny Wayne has never been one of them. But the actor will be wearing khaki for his next film titled Villain. This film is directed by Praveen Prabhram, who worked as associate director with Sunny's earlier film, Second Show.
So why did he choose to play a cop? "My character is not going to be the typical cop who mouths heroic dialogues. He is kind of funny," says Sunny. The rest of the cast in the film hasn't been decided yet. The shoot will begin in January.
Sunny, who is just back from Goa post the shoot of Double Barrel, is awaiting the release of Sarathi, in which he plays an ambulance driver. The film is a thriller, and can keep one on the edge of the seat, he says. "The driver is so used to transporting dead bodies that he is insensitive to them. He remains a jovial person even as those inside the ambulance are crying. The film is about how his life changes completely one day.
