Arjun Lal, who played the role of Mohanlal’s son in Blessy’s `Thanmathra’, after eight years gap , is back to the field through John Robinson’s `Asha Black’. Arjun plays the role of a musician, who owns a Band in Bangalore. He is very much energetic and boisterous in character. The title character Asha assumes that her father hates her as she is black and ugly. She gradually starts seeking affection from other people. She is later found dead in an unusual situation. The investigation after her death forms the the plot.
After `Thanmathra’, Arjun was concentrating on his studies. After pursuing his higher studies he worked for a couple of years and then started a business venture with his friends at Bangalore. Now he got an opportunity to do a Malayalam film and committed the role of a musician. Sarath Kumar, Manoj K. Jayan and Joy Mathew are appearing in supporting roles.
