22 Female Kottayam, also known as 22FK, is a 2012 Malayalam–language Indian rape and revenge film directed by Aashiq Abu and starring Rima Kallingal and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles.The film deals with the travails of a nurse who was victimised for no fault of hers and who takes revenge on her tormentors in a rather unusual manner. Set and filmed in Bangalore, the film released on April 13, 2012, and received strongly positive reviews from critics. It was also well received at the box-office.

5.THATTATHIN MARAYATHU 

Thattathin Marayathu is a 2012 Indian Malayalam musical-romance film written and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, starring Nivin Pauly and Isha Talwar in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Aju Varghese, Manoj K. Jayan, Sreenivasan, Sunny Wayne, Sreeram Ramachandran, Bhagath Manuel, Manikuttan, Niveda Thomas along with a host of newcomers.The tagline of the film goes Ummachikuttiye Premicha Nayarude Katha (the story of a Nair boy who loved a Muslim girl).The film  gained mixed reviews from critics.However, it got an extra-ordinary reception at the box-office, attaining blockbuster status,grossing around INR 11C. . Written by Sachi of the Sachi-Sethu duo, the film stars Mohanlal and Amala Paul in the lead roles.The film which has news media as the backdrop, has Mohanlal essaying the role of a channel cameraman Venu and Amala Paul that of a senior editor Renuka.
