Lal to direct Mohanlal after 21 years

Twenty one years after the blockbuster-flick Vietnam Colony, Lal will direct superstar Mohanlal. The flick is set to go on floors by mid-2013. This will be the fourth time that Mohanlal and Lal will be teaming up onscreen in the actor-director’s 15-yearold acting career. 
The hit filmmaker says, “I had signed the deal to direct a film with Mohanlal next year. But I am yet to start working on the script as I’m so caught up with my acting ventures. I have to admit this has been the busiest period in my career and I’m tied up till April next year.” 
    Incidentally, next year would also see Lal’s aide and co-director of Vietnam Colony, Siddique, also working with Mohanlal. The superstar and Bodyguard director had last worked together in Ayal Katha Ezhuthukayaanu, for which Siddique penned the story.
