JOHN’S DATE ISSUES MAY DELAY MOHANLAL’S FILM

After directing Salman Khanstarrer Bodyguard, director Siddique is ready with the script for his Bollywood film. Kochi Times had reported that the director was keen on casting John Abraham in this original script. The director fills us in on the latest on that front. “Only script has been finalised. John Abraham is okay with the script, but dates are an issue,” he informs.
The director is keen to begin this Bollywood project as soon as possible as he has a whole lot of projects down
south that is scheduled to begin only after he is through with this one. Siddique is committed to two Malayalam films, one with each of Mollywood’s superstars — Mammootty and Mohanlal. While Mammootty hasrecently decided to take on fewer projects from now on, the delay on this venture is more than welcome.
“I had agreed to work on a film that stars Mohanlal even before the Malayalam version of Bodyguard was shot. This film was to be produced by the superstar himself. There’s also a Mammootty-starrer in the pipeline,” confirms the director.
In addition to this, Siddique has been working on a script for his mentor, director Fazil.

A Tamil film has also been delayed. “I had promised a production house in Chennai that I would work on a film for them. But since I had not committed on the time, it is not a big issue,” he says, adding, “All the other projects depend on when this Bollywood film sets sail. I want to complete this film this year.”
