The pre-production of the much-awaited collaboration between Rajinikanth and director AR Murugadoss is going on in full swing. Recently, the makers conducted a photo shoot with Superstar Rajinikanth and he is said to be playing the role of a cop in the film. Now the latest update is Nivetha Thomas is said to have roped in to play Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter in #Thalaivar166 film. She was last seen playing Kamal Haasan's daughter in Papanasam, which released in 2015. Post-Papanasam, she concentrated on Telugu films and became as one of the best actresses in the industry.
SJ Suryah to play as the antagonist while Nayanthara plays the female lead in the film. The two have earlier shared screen space in Chandramukhi. She performed two special songs in Rajinikanth's Sivaji and Kuselan as well. While Santosh Sivan will handle the cinematography for the film, Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the music.
