Vijay starrer Sarkar is chugging along nicely at the box office. Directed by AR Murugadoss, this film is about an American man who finds out his vote has been cast by somebody else. He jumps into a political battle and becomes a people’s representative. The movie also stars Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi and Yogi Babu.
Sarkar has broken collection records, joining the 100-crore Gross Worldwide Club in just two days. It has become the first Vijay film to do so. Sarkar broke records by reaching the spot that was previously dominated by SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali - The Conclusion. Sarkar made over 30 crores on its first day in the state while Baahubali 2 had stood at 19 crores on day one.
