Debutant director Balaji's comic caper Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (NKPK), which rocked the Kollywood box office, is all set to be remade in Malayalam.Nivin Pauly is all set to play the lead role in the upcoming movie tilted Medulla Oblongata.
Interestingly the film is inspired from a chapter in the life of cinematographer Premkumar (of Pasanga fame). What will happen when a person suddenly realises that few days of his own life is missing, that too just few days before his marriage; this forms the basic crux of the film.Vijay Sethupathi did the leading role in this movie. Now, in the Malayalam version, Nivin will be essaying the role played by Vijay in Tamil.
Medulla Oblongata will be produced by Vendhar Movies. The rest of the cast including the heroine is yet to be finalised.Nivin has two movies which are under filming. 1983 is one of the movies which has Nikki Galrani playing the female lead. The movie tells the story of a person, who is a villager and passion for cricket. The shooting of the movie is almost completed and is under post production works. Also, Om Shanti Oshana is another flick of the actor which is still under filming. Nazriya Nazim plays the female lead in this film.
